Eddie Brill may have only been billed as someone "seen on 'Late Night With David Letterman,'" but Eddie has more credits than almost any comedian I can think of. Sure, he's made a full-time gig out of doing warm-up for Letterman tapings for the past six years, but he has also worked tapings for programs like "The Dana Carvey Show," "The Joan Cusack Show" and "This Is Your Life." He's also been in movies like "Drop Dead Rock" and "Burnzy's Last Call," while receiving the MAC Award for "Best Male Comedian In New York" for three consecutive years. Over the years he's made many appearances on Comedy Central, most recently as himself and "the Jewish Jesus" in (Denis Leary and Lenny Clarke's) "Contest Searchlight" and a forthcoming half-hour stand-up special of his own.

When you've logged that much time as a comic on and off-camera, you naturally have a sense for what does and doesn't work. While I can't say that I saw Eddie Brill in his early days at the Boston Comedy Club, I can say that he's one of the more polished comics that I've seen. There's no such thing as lackluster, underdeveloped material in Eddie's set; even the bantering with audience members has direction. Interesting about his interaction with the audience is how he can directly relate that to material. For example, when finding out that a person sitting next to the stage was a construction worker, he brought that into a discussion -- well, routine -- about roadway construction on highways. However, at no time did he insult the construction worker or any other member of the audience during his set; when he asked anyone a question, he was sure to acknowledge their response.
